Q – Where is Scott based out of?

A – Scott Burton and his family live in the city of
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Q – Will Scott travel to other locations outside of his home base?

A – Yes, Scott regularly travels throughout Canada to meet the needs of his clients.

Q – What types of events are Scotts entertainment programs most appropriate for?

A – Scott helps create amazing events for organizations with conferences, staff and management retreats, holiday and Christmas parties, team building and staff development days, fund raising dinners, conventions, awards banquets, and dinner parties.

Q – Can you “pencil in” a date and hold it while we make our decision?

A – No.  Dates are not officially booked or guaranteed until a signed contract and a 50% booking deposit is received in our office.  Booking dates are provided on a first-come first-serve basis which gives the advantage to those companies who are serious in taking action.

Q – Can I speak to and consult with Scott directly about how he can help me with my event?

A – Yes.  Call our office at 1-866-214-0764 (831-3650 in Winnipeg) or email Scott directly at scott@AmazingCompanyEvents.com to arrange for a mutually agreeable time to speak.  Please understand that Scott is often performing or consulting with clients and may not be available at the time of your initial call.  Inquiries are typically responded to within one business day.

Q - How far in advance should I book my event with Scott?

A – Some dates book as far as a year to two years in advance.  Other dates may remain open and available for even last minute bookings.  The best advice is to book Scott Burton as soon as you are comfortable and ready to do so.

Q - Does Scott require a stage to be set up?

A – A stage may or may not be required depending upon the specifics of your event.  Factors such as audience size and room set-up are important to consider.  In some cases, especially for smaller audiences, a designated performance area on the floor is ideal for creating the best intimate environment for the performance.  Discuss this with Scott to determine the best option.

Q - Does Scott require anything to be set up on stage (tables, podium, etc)?

A – Scott is very much a low-stress (yet high in results) entertainer with few requirements.  He supplies his own tables, equipment, and microphone.  The performance area should simply be as clear as possible for the performance.  Any podium used for speeches or introductions should be set-up off-to-the-side or made to move easily prior to the performance.

Q - Does Scott require a sound system to be supplied?

A – Scott simply uses one wireless lapel or headset microphone.  Scott can supply the mircrophone and a small sound system when appropriate at no extra charge.  Hotel or hall venues typically have an in-house sound system which Scott can plug his microphone into for optimal sound distribution.  Discuss this topic with Scott directly to determine the ideal arrangement for your event.

Q - Can Scott start his performance during desert or perhaps even entertain our people while they are eating their meal to save time?

A – Scott provides a fully engaging and interactive performance that is optimized by reducing or eliminating any distractions during the performance.  Asking the audience to share their attention between eating and entertainment would reduce the positive results that entertainment can provide.  This is not the ideal situation (not in the best interest of the client) and is not recommended.

Q - Does Scott use comedy material that could be offensive to some of our guests?

A – No.  Scott prides himself on being a professional of high standards and works to respect his audience in all ways - including not using offensive language or crude jokes.  The laughter from the show is often generated from the interactions between Scott and the audience - in a respectful way - that creates great joy for the audience.  Scott is a clean-cut presenter who you can trust to not include questionable material.

Q - How should we introduce Scott?

A – Scott is a unique entertainer that can be difficult to explain as he does not fit into one easily-to-define category.  He goes by the title "Empowerment Entertainer" and you may use a description such as "unlocks the potential of the human mind".  A quick and simple introduction sheet can be supplied upon request to assist your emcee.
